ELK & SIXES RIVER...
The Elk and Sixes rivers are located about an hour and a half north of the Oregon/California border in the town of Port Orford. These rivers are small but offer great Salmon fishing in November and December and Steelhead from January through mid March. Fish these rivers from drift boats while enjoying the peacefulness of the outdoors.

The Salmon start in this river after the big fall rains and by mid November its full of ocean fresh Salmon. These fish average between 10 and 40 pounds with occasional 50+ pounders being caught. With the right conditions, this river at times can compete with most rivers in Alaska.

The Steelhead show up in this river in late December and is good through mid March. these fish average 8 to 13 pounds with 20 pounders not being uncommon. Elk and Sixes River Steelhead offer a great fisht on light spinning tackle.
